The Club works with several professional instructors in the area and we has many experienced members who would be pleased to get you started Shooting or to help hone your skills should you wish, please contact the Front Desk or Shooting Captain.
Our Shooting Captain is Dan Devlin
- Please remember to sign in at the Front Desk during Regular Season.
- The Shooting Range may only be used by Members and their guests who are recognized as safe shooters.
- Both gentlemen and ladies are welcome to shoot.
- A Range Master must be present at all times.
- Shooters must sign the Waiver Register prior to participating in any shooting activity. The Waiver need not be signed on each visit.
- All Rounds shot must be recorded on the Shooting Scoresheets, regardless of whether or not that round is being used for handicap purposes.
- Shooting times are:
Regular Season (while the Clubhouse is Open)
Friday Afternoon at 2:00pm – 4:30 PM Paul Chambers, General Manager at
[email protected] to ensure the range is open and a Range Master will be present.
Saturday between 9:30am – 12:30pm with New Shooters welcome from 11:00am onward.
Saturday at 2:00pm is for experienced Shooters only.
October – March Shooting Schedule
Saturday between 9:30am – 12:30pm
. for experienced shooters only. “Experienced Shooter” means a member or guest who is
- a safe shooter and holds a Possession and Acquisition License, and
- able to maintain the pace of our games (i.e. does not require slower or single throws.)
If no members are present at the Range by 10:00am the Range Master may close the Range.
- All Shooters must follow the Safety Rules and instructions from the Range Masters who are Possession &Acquisition Licenced (PAL) and Safety Trained. Any member or guest not following the Safety Rules or found to be unsafe may be asked to retire from the Range by the Range Master or Shooting Captain.
Summary of Rules follows:
- Breaking Guns only.
- Guns must be either open or racked when not at the Shooting Station
- Eye and ear protective gear must be worn on the range at all times and hats are recommended.
- All ammunition will be provided by the Club.
- Guns may be loaded only when on the station immediately prior to firing. Loaded guns must always be pointed safely down the range.
- DO NOT TURN AROUND with a loaded firearm.
- Should a misfire occur:
- DO NOT make a second attempt to fire
- Continue pointing the gun down the range for not less than 1 minute
- Unload and clear the firearm. Visually check the chamber and bore.
- Dispose of misfired shells in a safe manner.
- If a malfunction of machinery occurs, ALL Shooters MUST unload firearms and power to machinery be turned off before attempting any repairs.
- One Licensed Shooter is permitted to host 2 unlicensed guests, within arms reach while Shooting.
- PAL License numbers & expiry dates are to be updated annually & will be posted in the Shooting Cabin.
- No person shall be permitted to shoot who has consumed any drugs or alcohol.
